At THE BETFRED DERBY FESTIVAL held at Epsom Downs , UK, on June 6, 2026, we had the privilege of serving our “RYU Junmai Daiginjo 720ml” to 200 VIP guests invited to The Jockey Club Room.

Despite the unfortunate weather of strong winds and light rain on the day, The Jockey Club Room, located on the 2nd floor of the Queen Elizabeth II stand, was bustling with elegantly dressed guests, adhering to a dress code of morning coats and top hats for gentlemen, and dresses and hats for ladies. When we recommended RYU to the guests enjoying the horse racing along with their meals, we received a great deal of wonderful feedback from the British guests as well, with many stating, “It is absolutely delicious,” “It pairs perfectly with Stilton cheese,” and asking, “Where can I buy it?” Furthermore, the Japanese Ambassador to the UK, Ambassador Mr.Suzuki, also tasted RYU and offered high praise.

Additionally, for the 5th race, THE BETFRED DERBY, Their Majesties King Charles and the Queen of the United Kingdom attended the event to present the trophy to the winner amidst loud cheers from the crowd.

Finally, we extend our sincerest thanks to everyone at The Jockey Club and the JRA for offering us this invaluable opportunity and for their generous cooperation, as well as to His Excellency Mr. Hiroshi Suzuki, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the UK, for graciously allowing us to take a photograph with him. We will continue our utmost efforts to deliver the charm of “RYU Junmai Daiginjo 720ml” to the global stage.
